Tuesday, April 30, 2013  The Consequences of Looking for Fuel in All The Wrong Places
7:00 p.m. 909 12th Street Sacramento
Join us for an update on a timely and critical issue. Local activists Karen and Jordan will provide an update and information on Tar Sands, Fossil Fuels, the Keystone XL pipeline and the resulting environ- mental devastation. Discussion will also include ways we can get involved.    Karen and Jordan were two of the 1,253 arrested during the Tar Sands Action at the White House in August 2011

April 22-23 2013–  Butte College Earth Day
Butte College, Chico, CA
DGR:CV will be participating in the A.S. Earth Day Celebration at Butte College.  The Sustainability Resource Center is hosting its annual Earth Day festival at the Main Campus on Monday, April 22nd and Tuesday, April 23rd.  The theme this year is SHARING: Share the knowledge, share the skill, share the goods, share the love! We are planning to have workshops, an Abundance Share, music, food, and more! Please join us! for more information please check out this link

April 21st, 2013-  Sacramento Earth Day Celebration
Southside Park, Sacramento CA
DGR:CV will be tabling and distributing information about the Deep Green Resistance strategy and our analysis. This is a great opportunity to meet with local representatives from Deep Green Resistance and learn
more about us and our plan for the Central Valley.
Earth Day is a family friendly even held, free of charge in a local park. There will be food and other vendors on hand and events for the entire family.

Thursday, March 21st, 2013 – Dept. of Conservation Open Meeting on Hydraulic Fracturing
Capitol Plaza Holiday Inn, 300 J Street, Sacramento, CA
A rare chance to meet with policy makers and industry representatives regarding “fracking” within the state. Key topics for discussion will include “provisions for pre-fracturing well testing; advance notification; monitoring during and after fracturing operations; disclosure of materials used in fracturing fluid; trade secrets; and storage and handling of hydraulic fracturing fluids.” All interested parties should consider attending, at the very least to learn how to effectively fight the industry.

March 7-8, 2013 –    This Way To Sustainability Conference VIII
CSU Chico
DGR:CV member Julia will be hosting a 1 hour session titled “Resistance is Fertile” with  Ali Knight on Thursday and a session with the Butte Environmental Council on Friday.
This event is open to the public, but does require registration.
